| | Windows Application Design |
|
Applications for the Windows platform
can be developed in C or in C++, using one of
the available class libraries such as Microsoft MFC. While the
program infrastructure can be generated using an application builder,
this results in a user interface that looks and feels like a Microsoft
product, not your own. A truly excellent Windows application goes beyond
the style guide and adds unique yet synergistic features that
add value to the Windows look and feel.
New applications can
use object embedding (OLE Automation) to separate the application
into reusable components, or to use custom controls based on ActiveX
or ATL conventions. Now, you can embed your application in a Word
document or display it in a web browser. Similarly, the application
can be distributed across multiple tasks on one or more computers.
Whether your needs call
for custom object classes, new Windows controls, or ports from
other operating systems, DeLise Consulting can help you reach
your goals on both 16 and 32 bit Windows platforms.
